How do we use cookies and beacons?
KAPITEL D uses cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies to operate and improve our websites and offerings.
Our domain may contain third-party elements that set cookies on behalf of a third party, such as third-party social networks. Please visit our cookie page to learn more about how we use cookies and how to disable cookies through browser settings or other means.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, www.google.com (“Google Analytics” or “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer to facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your visits to our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the USA and stored there.
When using Google Analytics, our website uses the “anonymizeIp” extension. Google shortens and anonymizes your IP address before it is transferred from EU/EEA member states. Google uses this information to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on internet activity for us and to provide other services related to our website.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google declares that it will never associate your IP address with any other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software accordingly, as stated elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. However, you should be aware that this may not allow you to fully use all the features of our website.
Google Analytics also provides a deactivation add-on for most current browsers that gives you more control over what data Google can collect on websites you access. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) used by Google Analytics not to transmit information about website visits to Google Analytics. However, the browser deactivation add-on offered by Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services that we may contact.
Google Analytics also uses electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes referred to as single pixel gifs) and is used with cookies to create aggregated statistics to analyze how our website is used.
For more information about installing the browser add-on referenced above, see the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Google has certified itself under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework) for cases where personal data is transferred to the US.
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system for managing JavaScript and HTML tags used for tracking and analytics on websites. Tags are small code elements used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour: to understand the impact of online advertising and social channels; Setting up remarketing and targeting; and websites. GTM makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. We use GTM on our website to include the following tracking tool:
• Google Analytics
If you have performed a deactivation, GTM will consider this deactivation. For more information about GTM’s privacy practices, see https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and Terms of Use at https://www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.
What are your privacy rights?
Our company wants to make sure that you fully understand all your privacy rights. In certain circumstances, you may have rights to your personal data:
- Request ingenuising access to Your personal data (commonly known as “Request to access the data subject”). This allows you to obtain a copy of the personal information we store about you and verify that we are lawfully processing it.
- Request the correction of the personal data we hold about you. This allows you to correct incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you, although we may need to verify the accuracy of the new information you provide to us.
- Request the deletion of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to delete or remove personal data if there is no valid reason for further processing. You also have the right to request us to delete or remove your personal data if you have successfully exercised your right to object to the processing (see below), if we may have processed your data unlawfully or if we are obliged to delete your personal data in order to comply with local laws. Please note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request for deletion for certain legal reasons that may be communicated to you at the time of your request.
- Contradiction to processing Your personal data if we rely on a legitimate interest (or that of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation that causes you to object to the processing for this reason, as you believe it affects your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object if we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate reasons to process your data that overrides your rights and freedoms.
- Require a restriction on the processing of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to determine the accuracy of the data; (b) if our use of the data is unlawful, but you do not want us to delete it; © if you need us to keep the data, even if we no longer need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims; Or (d) You have objected to our use of your information, but we must verify that we have compelling legitimate grounds for their use.
- request the transfer of your personal data to you or to third parties. We provide you or a third party you have selected with your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Please note that this right applies only to automated information that you have originally declared to use or where we have used the information to perform a contract with you.
- Revoke your consent at any time if we rely on the consent to the processing of your personal data. However, this does not affect the legality of processing carried out before your consent is revoked. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with certain products or services. We will inform you if this is the case at the time of revocation of your consent.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: datenschutz@kapitel‑d.com
You do not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessively repeated. Alternatively, in these circumstances, we may refuse to comply with your request.

This website uses the “Google Analytics” service, which is provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for the analysis of website usage by users. The service uses “cookies” — text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
IP anonymization applies on this website. The IP address of the users is truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This reduction eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. As part of the contract agreement for the order data agreement, which the website operators have with Google Inc. the latter uses the collected information to carry out an evaluation of the use of the website and the activity of the website and provides services related to the use of the Internet.
You can prevent the storage of cookies on your device by making appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.
Furthermore, you can use a browser plugin to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and sent by Google Inc. .
