KAPITEL D GmbH (“us”, “we” or “our”) operates the website kapitel‑d.com (the “Service”).

In this privacy policy you will find out what personal data we collect. We will change this Privacy Policy from time to time by updating this page. We therefore recommend that you review this page from time to time. In the event of material changes, we will endeavour to notify you separately of any changes to this Privacy Policy.

We use your personal information to provide and improve our services. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. We will only use or share your information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy.

What data do we process?

At your request and with your consent, we process data for the purpose of providing services to you. Personal data will only be used as in the purposes mentioned herein and transmitted to third parties. If you withdraw your consent or wish to terminate the services used, the corresponding stored data will be deleted in accordance with the law. When you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, telephone number, the content of the message and/or attachments you may send to us, and any other information you may wish to provide. If you use this website and subject to your consent to the use of cookies, we may determine the following information:

  • the areas of the website you visit;
  • Your language settings;
  • the campaign/URL from which you came to the website;
  • Your activities on the Site, such as reputable products, downloaded resources and any information you provide to us;
  • information about your computer, such as which browser you are using, your network location, and the type of connection you use (e.g. broadband, ADSL, etc.), and your IP address; And
  • technical and other information that does not personally identify you.

We do this by using cookies. For more information about what a cookie is, how we use it on our website, and how to disable certain cookies, see our Cookie Policy.

How do we collect data?

You provide our company with most of the data we collect directly. We identify and process data:

  • by means of the cookies of your browser when you use or view our website
  • - you can contact us via our contact forms or by e‑mail
  • – link to a social media provider (LinkedIn, Xing) via our website

If, among other things, you send an online request or request information from us, we will request some or all of the following information, in addition to the additional information you may voluntarily provide:

  • Name;
  • Role / Function;
  • Company name;
  • E‑mail address;
  • time availability;
  • postal address; And
  • Telephone number.

As soon as you submit information through our website, we will know who you are. You agree that your activities on this website and information about you and/or your company may be collected on our systems, including cloud-based systems.

Some mandatory information is required, other information is optional. It will help us to respond to your request. If you do not provide mandatory information, we may refuse a request for which this information has been requested.

How do we use data?

We use personal information:

  • to comply with our legal obligations;
  • to provide you with this website and our products and services;
  • to maintain and develop our website;
  • development of products and services;
  • to respond to your enquiries and to respond to your enquiries or complaints;
  • for market research and the evaluation of marketing strategies and campaigns;
  • market our own products and services for you; through means such as newsletters and invitations to events;
  • to communicate with you directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information related to the Site, as well as for marketing and advertising purposes;
  • to send you emails;
  • to detect and prevent attempts at deception and fraud.

Marketing by post

If you have consented, we may send you marketing information by post if we have decided that this is mutually beneficial to you and our organization. This information is not intrusive and will be processed for legitimate purposes that reflect your commitment and interest in Cipacto.

Marketing by e‑mail

If you have consented, we will send you email updates about our work, invitations to events and webinars – you can revoke this consent at any time.

We will not send you marketing emails if you have chosen not to receive them. All marketing emails we send you include an unsubscribe link at the end of the email.

Our emails may contain a web beacon pixel to let us know if they have been opened and to check clicks on links or articles within the email. We may use this information to determine how we can improve our communication with users, which of our emails are more interesting to users, and to ask if users who do not open our emails want to continue to receive them. The pixel is deleted when you delete the email. If you don’t want the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you can read the email in plain text view or with images disabled.

Surveys and feedback

From time to time, we may request information from you through surveys, feedback questionnaires or competition entries. Participation is completely voluntary and you therefore have the choice of whether you wish to disclose the requested information. We process your response to any surveys or feedback questionnaires in which you participate for research, evaluation and statistical purposes, including to improve our services and products and the functionality of this website. If you have entered a competition, we will use your contact details to notify you when you win and, if so, to award prizes.

You acknowledge and confirm your agreement that Cipacto will process your personal data for the purposes set out above.

How do we store data?

CHAPTER D follows a standard procedure for using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and part of the hosting services analytics. Information collected by log files includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), date and time stamps, reference/output pages, and the number of clicks. These are not linked to personal data. The purpose of the information is to analyze trends, manage the site, track the movement of users on the site, and collect demographic information.

How long do we store personal data?

We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the use of your personal data as described above, so that we can automatically recognize and approve all subsequent comments, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue or complying with our legal obligations.

If your personal data is processed with your consent (e.g. for marketing purposes), such personal data will be retained until you withdraw your consent to such processing or until the statutory deadline has been reached.

Do we share personal information?

We do not sell, rent, rent or share your personal data with third parties unless otherwise stated.

How do we use cookies and beacons?

KAPITEL D uses cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies to operate and improve our websites and offerings.

Our domain may contain third-party elements that set cookies on behalf of a third party, such as third-party social networks. Please visit our cookie page to learn more about how we use cookies and how to disable cookies through browser settings or other means.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, www.google.com (“Google Analytics” or “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer to facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your visits to our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the USA and stored there.

When using Google Analytics, our website uses the “anonymizeIp” extension. Google shortens and anonymizes your IP address before it is transferred from EU/EEA member states. Google uses this information to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on internet activity for us and to provide other services related to our website.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google declares that it will never associate your IP address with any other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software accordingly, as stated elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. However, you should be aware that this may not allow you to fully use all the features of our website.

Google Analytics also provides a deactivation add-on for most current browsers that gives you more control over what data Google can collect on websites you access. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) used by Google Analytics not to transmit information about website visits to Google Analytics. However, the browser deactivation add-on offered by Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services that we may contact.

Google Analytics also uses electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes referred to as single pixel gifs) and is used with cookies to create aggregated statistics to analyze how our website is used.

For more information about installing the browser add-on referenced above, see the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google has certified itself under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework) for cases where personal data is transferred to the US.

Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system for managing JavaScript and HTML tags used for tracking and analytics on websites. Tags are small code elements used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour: to understand the impact of online advertising and social channels; Setting up remarketing and targeting; and websites. GTM makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. We use GTM on our website to include the following tracking tool:

• Google Analytics

If you have performed a deactivation, GTM will consider this deactivation. For more information about GTM’s privacy practices, see https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and Terms of Use at https://www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.

What are your privacy rights?

Our company wants to make sure that you fully understand all your privacy rights. In certain circumstances, you may have rights to your personal data:

  • Request ingenuising access to Your personal data (commonly known as “Request to access the data subject”). This allows you to obtain a copy of the personal information we store about you and verify that we are lawfully processing it.
  • Request the correction of the personal data we hold about you. This allows you to correct incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you, although we may need to verify the accuracy of the new information you provide to us.
  • Request the deletion of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to delete or remove personal data if there is no valid reason for further processing. You also have the right to request us to delete or remove your personal data if you have successfully exercised your right to object to the processing (see below), if we may have processed your data unlawfully or if we are obliged to delete your personal data in order to comply with local laws. Please note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request for deletion for certain legal reasons that may be communicated to you at the time of your request.
  • Contradiction to processing Your personal data if we rely on a legitimate interest (or that of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation that causes you to object to the processing for this reason, as you believe it affects your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object if we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate reasons to process your data that overrides your rights and freedoms.
  • Require a restriction on the processing of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to determine the accuracy of the data; (b) if our use of the data is unlawful, but you do not want us to delete it; © if you need us to keep the data, even if we no longer need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims; Or (d) You have objected to our use of your information, but we must verify that we have compelling legitimate grounds for their use.
  • request the transfer of your personal data to you or to third parties. We provide you or a third party you have selected with your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Please note that this right applies only to automated information that you have originally declared to use or where we have used the information to perform a contract with you.
  • Revoke your consent at any time if we rely on the consent to the processing of your personal data. However, this does not affect the legality of processing carried out before your consent is revoked. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with certain products or services. We will inform you if this is the case at the time of revocation of your consent.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: datenschutz@kapitel‑d.com

You do not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessively repeated. Alternatively, in these circumstances, we may refuse to comply with your request.

Privacy of other websites

Our websites contain links to other websites Our privacy policy applies exclusively to our website. If you click on a link that takes you to another website, we recommend that you read the privacy policy of each website you visit.

If you, as a parent or guardian, learn that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. As soon as we learn that personal data of minors under the age of 18 has been transmitted to us, we will immediately remove this information from our servers.

This website uses the “Google Analytics” service, which is provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for the analysis of website usage by users. The service uses “cookies” — text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

IP anonymization applies on this website. The IP address of the users is truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This reduction eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. As part of the contract agreement for the order data agreement, which the website operators have with Google Inc. the latter uses the collected information to carry out an evaluation of the use of the website and the activity of the website and provides services related to the use of the Internet.

You can prevent the storage of cookies on your device by making appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

Furthermore, you can use a browser plugin to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and sent by Google Inc. .

The following link leads you to the corresponding plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Here you can find more information about the data usage by Google Inc.: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Alternatively, by clicking on this link: Disable Google Analytics, you prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you within this website.

By clicking on the link above, you download an “opt-out cookie”. Your browser must therefore allow the storage of cookies in principle. If you delete your cookies regularly, you will need to click on the link again each time you visit this website.
